Stephenie Purnell, Founder of Spiritus8®, is one of only five certified Holotropic Breathwork® facilitators in Texas and currently the only certified Trance Movement™ facilitator in the United States. With more than 800 hours of formal training and over 15 years of deep personal practice in expanded states of consciousness, Stephenie creates meticulously held, high-integrity containers for transformation through private sessions and immersive retreats. Her own work in expanded states served as a profound psychospiritual reorganization in her life—rewiring her brain, dissolving maladaptive coping mechanisms, and awakening a lifelong capacity to serve as a sacred witness for others. This ability not only shaped her healing practice, but also informed her earlier success in higher education fundraising, and supported her in guiding her mother through the sacred threshold of death with grace and presence. A devoted student of philosophy and mysticism, Stephenie’s daily practice draws from perennial wisdom traditions and sacred texts. As a Perennialist, she honors the singular truth expressed through many paths. She holds a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Southern Methodist University, and a Paralegal Certificate in Civil Litigation. Her prior professional background spans two decades in law, and over a decade in fundraising leadership at institutions including The University of Texas at Austin, SMU, the University of Colorado Boulder, and St. John’s College of Santa Fe. Welcome to Ruby Retreats at Camino Ranchito where you can join us for meditation, yoga classes, and retreats or create a special retreat of your own! Camino Ranchito is nestled in the Texas Hill Country offering 100 acres of scenic views, mature oaks, lit walking paths, hiking trails, and a variety of natural habitat. We offer lodging for individuals and groups - including the entire property with enough advance notice. Ruby Retreats provides delicious vegetarian meals accommodating those with food allergies and dietary restrictions. With prior arrangements, you may bring in your own food, or onsite chef. We have fully equipped kitchens and grilles. Our Yoga Barn is a large air-conditioned modern space with hardwood floors, a treatment room with massage table, and full bathroom. Special awnings can be rolled up to provide an indoor/outdoor experience.
